Safe enough for thee, but not for me....
Earlier this year, our county sheriff approached our county council with a request for some new cars. It seems the Crown Victorias his deputies were driving had amassed 100,000 miles, and were no longer safe or insurable, and he was convinced they would be safer driving around in some new Dodge Chargers and Chevy Tahoes.
Probably so, although many of us commoners were just a little offended that the sheriff thought cars were unsafe when they had 100,000 miles on them. That's when a lot of us buy them.
Anyway, I was a little surprised when I opened the newspaper the other day and saw that the county had given one of unsafe cars to the town of Greensfork for use by its police department.
I can't wait to see what the new logo looks like.
