Ice Cream, were gonna have IceCream...

I think it's important that voters get to meet candidates. I also think it's important that we eat pie and ice cream. In order to facilitate those two activities, we've decided to hold a "Meet the Candidates Ice Cream Social".

We're going to have it at my home, at 17059 State Road 38, Hagerstown, from 2:00 til 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 17th.

Our Secretary of State candidate Mike Kole will be there, along with a couple of State Representative candidates, and some local county candidates, to answer questions.

Susan ordered some Schwan's Ice Cream, and Helen Drake is baking the pies. We built a house for the Drakes about 3 years ago, and I gained about 15 pounds in the process, just from the pies and cinnamon roles that Helen kept bringing to the job. You'd be hard pressed to find a better pie.

Of course it's also important that Libertarians get elected to office if we are going to get a handle on government spending and intrusion, and as we all know, that takes money. We'll have a table set up if you would like to contribute to your favorite candidate's campaign, but if you are not in a position to contribute now, or if you have already contributed, we would still like to have you stop in, meet the candidates, and have some pie and ice cream. Those are, after all, the most important things.
